Frans Carel Te
Water built this beautiful Karoo house in 1886. The house
has been restored to its former glory, with a mixture of
modern facilities and Karoo antiques, and has lots of
character and evokes memories of a bygone era of Karoo
grandeur.
Fourteen
air-conditioned rooms are available, as well as satellite
TV, and a lounge with a cosy fireplace. Four of the
rooms are separate flats, originally built as communion
rooms (nagmaalkamers) for use by local farmers, decades ago,
on their traditional monthly visit to the town.
Self catering
facilities are available, as well as traditional Karoo meals
on request. |
